Built in 1922, Renovated in 1999
Low Income Family Housing
Developed by MBCDC, a 44 unit historic hotel was converted
into 17 units with multiple bedrooms, providing affordable
living accommodations for low-income families. The reduction
in the number of units had a positive effect on the neighborhood
by lowering the density of area residents and improving
area parking availability.
Financed by the City of Miami
Beach, Miami-Dade County, Florida Housing Finance Corporation,
MBCDC and Low Income Housing Tax Credits, this historic
building is located at 259 Washington Avenue.
